OUR STORY
MEJOBUILD is a proud second-generation, family-run construction company dedicated to delivering every project on time and on budget.
From the year 1992, Ostoja Mejakic a master joiner, carpenter, and all-round craftsman, began his journey where he established over the years a strong foundation built on skills, integrity, and commitment.
Over and throughout a successful 30-year career, Ostoja dedicated himself to teaching and mentoring his two sons, ensuring they inherited his skills, expertise, and strong work ethic that now underpin the way we operate today.
In 2023, MEJOBUILD was established by Mladen Mejakic, later joined by Novak and Ostoja Mejakic, continuing the family legacy. Together, they bring extensive experience across residential and commercial construction, civil infrastructure, subdivisions, structural engineering, and building certification.
While new builds remain our specialty, we also excel in complex renovations and rehabilitation projects. At our core, family values guide our dedication to quality, trust, and long-lasting client relationships.

MLADEN MEJAKIC
MANAGING DIRECTOR (FOUNDER)
Mladen is a Licensed Builder, Accredited Building Certifier, and Qualified Civil/Structural Engineer with over 15 years of combined experience in local government and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney and acts as the vital link between the construction site and business operations.
As both Managing Director and Project Director, Mladen oversees overall business functions, driving company growth and development while ensuring projects are managed seamlessly from conception to completion. His responsibilities include project management, estimating, scheduling, and acting as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Mladen’s leadership ensures that every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. His unique combination of hands-on construction expertise and strategic management fosters efficient project delivery and strong stakeholder relationships.

NOVAK MEJAKIC
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Novak is a Licensed Builder with over 20 years of industry experience in residential and commercial construction within the private sector, holding a Certificate IV in Building Construction from TAFE NSW. Coming from a strong carpentry and joinery background, Novak also brings extensive expertise in operating plant and machinery.
As both Managing Director and Construction Manager, Novak oversees day-to-day site operations with a hands-on approach, managing workers and subcontractors to ensure projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. His responsibilities include scheduling, resource coordination, quality control, and resolving on-site issues to keep projects on time and within budget.
Novak’s combination of practical construction skills, machinery operation knowledge, and leadership ensures successful delivery of high-quality builds aligned with client expectations and industry standards.
